Description for MITS Customer Notices (Customers Notice) for modified eCommerce shop software
MITS Customer Notices lets you display important information, promotions, notices and messages selectively in modified eCommerce shop software. You decide where, when and to which visitors a notice is shown.
Whether you need general shop information, a notice for particular customer groups, a limited-time promotion, an important checkout message or a discreet toast notification, the module provides flexible display options without requiring changes to the shop for every use case.
Flexible display types
- Notice – standard information within the page content
- Important notice – a visually highlighted message
- Top bar – a prominent notice bar in the shop
- Modal – a notice displayed as a dialog or popup
- Toast – a compact floating message with a selectable position
Various positions at the top and bottom of the page are available for toast notifications. This helps avoid conflicts with trust badges, chat systems or other elements with fixed positions.
Display notices to targeted audiences
Not every notice needs to be visible to every visitor. Extensive audience and page filters allow messages to be controlled very precisely.
- Select specific shop pages and page sections
- Display to specific customer groups
- Distinguish between guests and logged-in customers
- Select individual customers
- Filter by country
- Filter by newsletter status
- Assign to categories
- Assign to products
- Assign to manufacturers
Multiple conditions can be combined. This makes the module suitable both for simple general notices and for highly targeted customer information.
Scheduled customer notices
An optional start and end time can be specified for each notice. Information can therefore be prepared in advance and activated or ended automatically at the desired time.
A countdown can optionally be displayed as well, for example for promotions, shipping deadlines or limited-time offers.
Control display frequency
Depending on the type of message, you can specify how often a customer should see the notice:
- on every matching page view
- once per session
- once per day
- until the visitor has closed the notice
This allows important information to be displayed reliably without disturbing visitors with constantly recurring popups or messages.
Multilingual content
The heading, content and button label can be maintained for the languages available in the shop. The visible heading is optional. For clear management, each notice also has its own internal title, used exclusively in the administration area.
Optional action button
Notices can be supplemented with a dedicated button. This can take visitors directly to a category, product, information page or external destination page, for example.
Template-friendly and customisable
The module includes its own standard templates. These can be overridden with custom files in the active shop template in a way that is preserved during updates.
Additional custom HTML templates are detected automatically and then become available for selection directly in module management. File names do not have to be entered freely, helping avoid unnecessary mistakes.
The module is designed for shop templates including:
- MITS Responsive Modern
- tpl_modified_responsive
- tpl_modified_nova
- Bootstrap5
- Bootstrap5a
Custom modified templates can also be used. If required, placement can be specified using a custom CSS selector.
Flexible CSS and JavaScript integration
Several integration methods are available for frontend files:
- Automatic: the module includes CSS and JavaScript.
- Manual: ideal for optimised templates, allowing the files to be included in the existing modified compression system.
- Inline: CSS and JavaScript can be included directly in the page.
This lets you choose an integration method that suits the template in use and the relevant performance strategy.
SEO-friendly notices
For each notice, data-nosnippet can optionally be enabled. This prevents supporting search engines from using the content of a notice as a text snippet in search results.
Convenient management
Administration remains clear even when many customer notices have been created.
- Filters by status, display type and other properties
- Search function
- sortable table view
- pagination for large numbers of entries
- drag and drop to change the order
- Save or Save & continue editing
- multilingual editing through the modified editor
Migration of existing customer notices
Optional migration is available for shops that previously used the older customers_notice module. A preview of the detected notices is displayed before import.
The existing data of the third-party module is neither modified nor deleted. This allows the transfer to be checked first.
Clean integration into modified
- no changes to core files required
