New features & highlights for everyday shop operations
Version 3.3.0 expands the functionality of the admin area and simplifies daily order processing:
- Customs tariff data in orders: Customs tariff data can now be entered and maintained directly when editing orders.
- Extended order search: Orders can now also be searched for specifically by customer number.
- Duplicate check: When creating or editing in
orders_edit.php, the system now checks for existing orders. - Controlled recalculation: Recalculation of an order during admin editing now takes place only when the corresponding checkbox is explicitly selected.
- Optimised sitemaps: The
sitemap.xmlis now generated only for active shop languages, saving resources.
Security, performance & interface updates
Important adjustments have been made to both data security and external integrations:
- CSRF & AJAX security: Inconsistencies in AJAX calls and the CSRF-TOKEN system have been fixed (`#3109`). AJAX requests are also no longer cached by default.
- Email & PHPMailer: Update to PHPMailer 7.0.2 (`#3121`), correction of special characters/umlauts in newsletter email subject lines (`#3108`) and removal of email caching.
- Interface updates: Important updates for PayPal (including JavaScript error fixes), DHL (DHL Business fixes `#3114`), CleverReach (extended webhook support), Händlerbund, Easycredit, Magnalister and Oil.js.
- Data protection & IP handling: Short-term IP storage for live statistics (Who's Online) can now be controlled independently of the global
SAVE_IP_LOGsetting (`#3122`).
Developer optimisations & system maintenance
Database access has been optimised and the codebase modernised behind the scenes:
- Extended hook points: New or relocated hook points in registration (
create_account,create_guest_account) and the product class (`#3113`) provide even greater flexibility for module developers. - Query & performance optimisations: Queries in the category menu (`#3115`), order functions (`#3105`) and paginated listings have been noticeably accelerated.
- Database & image fixes: The database converter is now available in the update routine (`#2874`). The “Delete old images” tool now correctly includes WebP images for banners, categories and manufacturers (`#3108`). The
.htaccessin the images folder now also supports video files (`#3128`). - Code cleanup: Outdated JavaScript functions (such as
unescape()) have been replaced, errors in sales statistics and admin search have been fixed, and various PHP 8.4 warnings have been eliminated.
