Public withdrawal page in the shop
The module provides a dedicated withdrawal page through Content Manager. Customers can declare their withdrawal directly online, without unnecessary steps, separate form handling or complicated support communication.
Optional confirmation page
Before final submission, an additional confirmation page can optionally be displayed for checking all details again. Depending on the shop concept, this allows the withdrawal process to emphasise convenience or additional control.
Freely configurable required fields
The module lets you specify flexibly which form details should be mandatory. The process can therefore be adapted to your shop's workflow without changing the source code.
The email address is always required. Other details, such as order number, first name, surname or message, can also be defined as required fields according to the desired process.
Order matching for customer accounts and guest orders
Order data can be used to match a withdrawal to an order automatically. Order details and existing line items can then be transferred to the case and processed properly internally.
Matching by order number or invoice number
Automatic recognition can use the order number or, where available in the shop, the invoice number. This makes matching more flexible and practical, particularly when customers are more accustomed to invoice numbers than order numbers.
Ambiguous references are deliberately not assigned automatically at the risk of an incorrect match. If a reference could match several orders, the case is instead saved without assignment and flagged for manual review.
Withdrawal without automatic order matching
The module can also accept withdrawals when automatic matching to an order is not possible. In this case, the submission is saved and flagged appropriately for internal processing instead of being rejected.
Electronic withdrawal therefore remains practical even when order numbers are missing, details differ or order data cannot be clearly identified.
Full or partial withdrawal
Depending on the configuration, withdrawal can cover entire orders or individual line items. For partial withdrawals, affected products can be selected individually and quantities specified if this option is provided. Previously recorded withdrawal quantities can be taken into account.
Partial withdrawal without automatic matching
If partial withdrawals are enabled in the module, they can also be recorded when no order has been recognised automatically. In this case, the customer describes the affected products directly in the form so that the case can be reviewed and processed internally with sufficient clarity.
Partial withdrawal is therefore not limited to automatically recognised orders and can also be properly documented in more difficult practical cases.
Option to allow full withdrawal only
If your shop should not offer partial withdrawal, the workflow can be simplified accordingly. In that case, the process remains clearly focused on withdrawing from an entire order.
Automatic confirmation of receipt
After submission, the customer automatically receives a confirmation of receipt by email. This fits neatly into professional shop operations and is also designed around the legal requirement to confirm receipt of an electronically submitted withdrawal without undue delay.
Optional email confirmation by code
If desired, the module can perform additional email address confirmation using a code. After submission, the customer receives a confirmation code by email and can use it to verify their address.
The withdrawal itself is already saved and is not blocked. Code confirmation provides optional additional security and improves contact data quality without unnecessarily complicating the actual withdrawal process.
Flexibly configurable verification
When optional email confirmation is used, key parameters can be controlled directly in the module. These include the confirmation code length, validity period in minutes and maximum number of permitted verification attempts.
Additional verification can therefore be flexibly adapted to the desired level of security and your own shop process.
Unique withdrawal number for each case
Each incoming withdrawal receives a unique withdrawal number. Enquiries, processing and communication can therefore always be assigned to a specific case.
Convenient token links
Protected token links can optionally be used in emails to reopen cases or conveniently prefill inputs. This simplifies the process for customers and reduces support work.
Optional email confirmation can also use a direct confirmation link with the code prefilled. This keeps the process convenient and traceable.
Protection against spam and misuse
The module supports protection mechanisms such as CAPTCHA, honeypots and rate limiting. These provide significantly better protection for the form against automated requests and misuse.
Status-based deadline guidance with a neutral fallback
MITS Withdrawal Button Pro supports flexible deadline guidance for everyday shop operations. Either the order date or a freely defined order status can be used as the basis. When evaluating a status, you can specify whether its first or most recent occurrence should be used as the reference.
For customer-facing display, you can choose a neutral notice or an indicative display of the remaining time. If the relevant status has not yet been reached or the shop data does not support a clear statement, the module automatically uses cautious wording instead of an overly rigid deadline statement.
Flexible withdrawal periods globally, by category and by product
Deadline control can be configured globally or differentiated by category and product. The module supports a transparent rule hierarchy with inheritance.
Individual rules can be set to inherit, fixed period, unlimited or excluded as required. This allows the withdrawal process to be tailored much more precisely to the product structure and internal shop requirements.
Flexible template integration with a convenient fallback strategy
MITS Withdrawal Button Pro integrates flexibly into your shop and already includes ready-made template files within the module. These default templates are designed to make the module ready to use immediately without first having to edit your shop template.
The module also follows a particularly practical fallback strategy: the supplied module template files provide an immediately usable default foundation and can easily be overridden with your own files in the active shop template if required. The module therefore remains immediately functional while providing maximum flexibility for adapting it to your design or specific shop requirements.
The integrated default templates are deliberately extremely user-friendly, clearly structured and designed for use with fewer accessibility barriers. Even without additional template changes, you get a clean, modern and customer-friendly presentation of the withdrawal process directly in your shop.
Floating withdrawal button with numerous options
A floating withdrawal button can also be used to keep the withdrawal function especially easy to access. Depending on the design, this button can be adapted visually and functionally to the shop, for example in its appearance, label, icon, placement, visibility and link target.
Dedicated admin area for withdrawals and status management
All received withdrawals are displayed in a separate management interface in the admin area. Cases can be searched, filtered, opened and processed further there.
Dedicated withdrawal status administration is also available. Processing statuses can be managed centrally, sorted, maintained in multiple languages and extended with individual email subject and message templates for each status.
Admin filter for unconfirmed email addresses
If optional email confirmation is enabled, unconfirmed cases can be filtered specifically in the admin area. Your team can quickly see which withdrawals have been verified and where confirmation steps are still pending.
Flagging for manual review
Cases without automatic order matching can be specifically flagged in the admin area. Your team immediately sees that manual review or follow-up is required.
This creates clear support workflows and prevents legally relevant declarations from being overlooked or wrongly rejected.
Subsequent order assignment in the admin area
If a withdrawal cannot initially be matched automatically, the correct order can be linked manually in the admin area later. Unclear cases remain manageable and can subsequently be assigned to the correct order.
Dedicated status administration with multilingual templates
The processing workflow is represented through dedicated status administration in the admin area, rather than fixed status values alone. Existing statuses can be edited, new statuses created and their sequence sorted to suit your workflow.
For each status, you can maintain a separate status name, email subject and email text in each language. Communication during the withdrawal process becomes considerably more structured, flexible and adaptable to the shop's workflow.
Multilingual status communication directly in shop admin
Language-dependent names, email subject lines and message texts can be maintained directly in the admin area for each processing status. Editing is clearly organised by language in separate tabs, making it practical even with multiple active shop languages.
Internal notes and logging
Internal notes can be stored for each case. Processing steps are also logged so that changes and decisions remain traceable later.
Customer notifications with status-dependent email templates
If desired, customers can be notified automatically by email when the status changes. Content can be controlled by status: each status can have its own multilingual subject lines and message texts.
For example, confirmation of receipt, progress updates, acceptance, rejection or case completion can each use different wording without having to write the texts manually every time.
CSV export and analysis
Withdrawal data can be exported and used for internal analysis, tracking or management reporting. The module is therefore also suitable for shops with higher volumes and clearly defined service processes.
Additional information directly on the order
Relevant withdrawal information can also be displayed in the shop's order context. This simplifies matching and improves the overview directly in relation to the relevant order.
